Focus '15 - Be Ready - Entry # 11

Hi Friends!

As most of you who read this blog know - our Fall Sermon Series from the book of Revelation is in full swing at Connections Christian Church - I continue to pray this study will be used by God to increase our faithfulness to Him and ministry to others in His name.

Jesus said, "I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown" (Revelation 3:11) - in other words no matter the intensity or the type of storms that come to us while living on earth - the crown of eternal life is assured to all who hold on to Him until He returns.

May your heart overflow with humility, gratitude, and joy for Jesus - hold on to Him and never doubt for a second that He loves you and He cares for you - remember the eternal crown of life He has for you in heaven is the one He died on the cross of Calvary to give you while on earth.

You are valuable, forgivable, special, and significant to Jesus -  you are a unique and precious member of His family and you have a unique and personal crown in His eternal kingdom - hold on He is coming soon!

God's Peace,
Jeff

  1. There is a part of me that worries about holding on - where is God in my holding?

Then I remember "I will never leave you nor forsake you" and "The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation." and "The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?" and "The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped" and "Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation" and "The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold".

Then I put my hand over my mouth, and hold on to God.
